Dual sloping ultrasonic transducers RSM - 5F are designed for
testing the quality of welded joints of small diameter
(16...51мм) pipelines with walls 2.5 - 6 mm thick.
The operating frequency of transducers is 5 MHz, Focusing of
the ultrasonic beam makes it possible to detect volume defects with
a diameter of 0.3 mm and larger. The chord system is the most sensitive
to detection of wormhole-type and plane flaws (cracks, lacks of fusion).
Application of the chord system of scanning ensures good interference
resistance in respect of beads and sagging of welded joints. Flaw
testing involves no longitudinal scanning.
Applicable for work with domestically-made and imported ultrasonic
flaw detectors. The methodology of application of RSM-5F is approved
by the RF Gosgortekhnadzor. There are positive references from
enterprises using the transducers in question. |

Dual sloping transducers "Duet" are intended
for ultrasonic testing of thin-walled welded joints for pipelines
with a diameter of 57 mm and larger, and the wall thickness of 3...12 mm.
The operating frequency of transducers is 5 MHz.
The input angle is 70 degrees. Application of the dual
circuit allows getting rid of reverberation interference
and reduce the dead zone down to 0...0.5 mm.
The "symmetrical duo" circuit has a high
sensitivity to detecting root flaws due to the oscillator's
being turned relative to the receiver and the beam's being
focused in the dead zone. The method of adjustment is
conventional (by notches, segments).
The working surface of transducers features a
wear-resistant layer, which increases their service life.
The transducers may be used for work with domestically
made and imported ultrasonic flaw detectors. |

Dual sloping ultrasonic transducer SP5-75KUS
(versatile) is deisgned for testing the quality of welded
joints of pipelines, vessels and metal structures with the
wall thickness of 4 ... 13 mm.
The transducer implements the "coupled tandem circuit".
The transducer's operating frequency is 5 MHz, the
input angle is 73 ... 75 degrees.
The circuit of coupled transducers ensures
high interference-resistance in respect of sagging
and had high sensitivity to detection of plane
flaws (cracks, lacks of fusion).
Transducers of this type make it possible to
monitor the level of acoustic contact and sensitivity,
as they generate an additional echo-pulse of acoustic
contact; therefore, they may be applied to a painted
surface. Testing with the transducer only involves
scanning along the welded seam.
The transducers feature a wear-resistant operating
surface. The wear-resistance layer makes the service
life 5 ... 10 times as long. The SP5-75KUS transducer
can be applied for testing articles with a diameter
from 57 mm to the plane.
The methodology of application is approved by
the RF Gosgortekhnadzor. There are positive
references from enterprises, a diploma of an
international exhibition. |
